Job Title: Centre Head – Skill Development Centre

Location: All Over Bihar

Reports To: Regional Head / Project Head / Chief Operating Officer

Department: Skill Development / Vocational Training

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose The Centre Head is responsible for the overall management, operations, and performance of the Skill Development Centre. The role involves planning and delivering skill training programs, ensuring high-quality training delivery, achieving enrolment and placement targets, managing the centre team, and ensuring compliance with funding agencies, government schemes, and accreditation bodies.

Key Responsibilities

- Centre Operations & Administration

· Manage day-to-day operations of the skill development centre.

· Ensure smooth functioning of classrooms, labs, workshops, and equipment.

· Maintain a safe, disciplined, and learner-friendly environment.

· Oversee centre infrastructure, assets, and facility maintenance.

· Ensure compliance with organizational policies, statutory requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

- Training & Academic Delivery

· Plan and schedule training batches as per approved targets and timelines.

· Coordinate with trainers, faculty, and industry experts for effective delivery.

· Monitor training quality, curriculum coverage, and assessment processes.

· Ensure use of updated training content, tools, and practical learning methods.

· Organize guest lectures, industry visits, workshops, and exposure activities.

- Mobilization & Admissions

· Drive student mobilization through community outreach, awareness campaigns, and local partnerships.

· Conduct counselling sessions for prospective students and parents.

· Ensure eligible candidates are enrolled as per project guidelines and target profiles.

· Maintain admission records and documentation for audit purposes.

- Placement & Industry Linkage

· Build and maintain relationships with local employers,



industries, and placement agencies.

· Organize placement drives, job fairs, and campus interviews.

· Track placement of trained candidates and ensure retention as per project norms.

· Collect placement evidence, appointment letters, salary slips, and feedback for reporting.

- Compliance & Reporting

· Ensure adherence to guidelines of funding agencies, skill councils, and government schemes.

· Maintain proper documentation for trainees, trainers, attendance, assessments, and placements.

· Prepare and submit MIS reports, progress reports, and financial utilization reports on time.

· Support internal and external audits, inspections, and monitoring visits.

- Team Management

· Lead, supervise, and motivate trainers, counsellors, placement officers, and admin staff.

· Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.

· Identify training needs of staff and facilitate capacity building.

· Ensure high levels of team productivity and accountability.

- Financial & Resource Management

· Prepare and manage the centre budget in coordination with the finance team.

· Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.

· Manage petty cash, vendor payments, and procurement as per policy.

· Ensure optimum utilization of training equipment and materials.

- Quality Assurance & Accreditation

· Implement quality improvement initiatives and standard operating procedures.

· Prepare the centre for accreditation, affiliation, or grading visits.





· Address learner grievances and ensure student satisfaction.

· Work towards continuous improvement in training outcomes and centre ratings.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

· Master’s degree / MBA / Postgraduate Diploma in Management, Social Work, Rural Development, or Education is preferred.

· Local language proficiency is often an added advantage.

Working Conditions

· Full-time role based at the skill development centre.

· May require travel within the district/region for mobilization, industry visits, and stakeholder meetings.

· Flexible working hours may be needed during training batches, placement drives, or audits.

Pay: ₹20,500.00 - ₹36,800.00 per month
