Role Description The Cashier role at StrayCity is a full-time, on-site position based in Dehradun. The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately, handling cash, card, and digital payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer. This role involves greeting customers, answering basic product or service questions, and providing courteous support throughout the checkout process.

The Cashier also assists with pricing checks, managing returns or exchanges in line with company policies, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Daily tasks may include reconciling the register at shift end, reporting discrepancies, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications

- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail for handling cash and reconciling payment transactions.
- Customer service skills,



including clear communication, patience, and a helpful, qualified approach.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency, including the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage a fast-paced environment, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Honesty, reliability, and a high level of integrity in managing financial transactions and customer data.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in retail or cash handling is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
