Role Description The BSP Architect will lead the design, development, and integration of Board Support Packages for embedded platforms, ensuring robust hardware–software interaction and system stability. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining BSP architecture, configuring and porting operating systems, optimizing bootloaders, and enabling device drivers for various processors and SoCs.



The role involves collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to review system requirements, perform root cause analysis of low-level issues, and ensure performance, security, and reliability across the product lifecycle.

The BSP Architect will also create technical documentation, support code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to best practices and reusable frameworks for embedded solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in embedded systems architecture, BSP design, and low-level software development for processors and SoCs.
- Hands-on experience with operating systems relevant to BSP work (e.g., Linux, RTOS variants), including kernel configuration, porting, and customization.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded contexts (e.g., C, C++, scripting for build and automation).
- Experience with bootloaders, device drivers, and hardware bring-up, including debugging tools and techniques at board and system level.
- Knowledge of hardware interfaces and protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, USB) and ability to interpret schematics and datasheets.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices, version control, CI/CD, and testing frameworks for embedded platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
