Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Bharatnatyam Teachers based in Bhopal at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension.

The Bharatnatyam

Teacher will design and deliver structured dance lessons aligned with age-appropriate learning outcomes and school guidelines. Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting classes, demonstrating techniques and choreography, training students for performances, and fostering appreciation for classical dance and culture. The role also involves assessing student progress, maintaining discipline and safety in the dance space, collaborating with other faculty for events,



and engaging with parents and school management when required.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Training skills for Bharatnatyam, including the ability to instruct students of varying age groups and skill levels.
- Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and Education skills to design structured, goal-oriented dance curricula and activities.
- Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Formal training in Bharatnatyam from a recognized institution or guru; certification or degree in classical dance is preferred.

- Prior experience teaching Bharatnatyam in a school or institutional setting is highly beneficial.
- Ability to maintain an inclusive, respectful classroom environment and support diverse learning needs.
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and commitment to the school’s ethos and co-curricular programs.
