Mestastop® Solutions
Hoskote
Company Description Mestastop® Solutions is a cancer research company focused on addressing the critical challenge of metastasis, which is responsible for the majority of cancer-related deaths. While current treatments target initiation, progression, and immunosuppression, metastasis remains largely unaddressed due to limitations in existing in vitro and animal models. Mestastop® has developed proprietary platforms—METAssay, METSCAN, and METVivo—to more accurately model and study metastatic biology.
These platforms aim to support the advancement of molecules targeting metastasis, improving translational relevance while managing cost and timelines. Team members contribute directly to innovation that could transform how metastatic cancer is understood and treated.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hoskote for a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) graduate. The role involves working with preclinical animal models relevant to cancer and metastasis, including animal handling, monitoring, and supporting experimental procedures under established protocols.
Responsibilities include assisting in study design and execution, maintaining accurate records of observations and experimental data, and ensuring compliance with ethical, regulatory, and institutional animal welfare guidelines.
The BVSc graduate will collaborate with scientists and research staff to optimize animal models that closely reflect human metastatic cancer biology, contribute to troubleshooting and process improvements, and support general lab and facility maintenance related to animal care.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from a recognized institution, with eligibility to work in laboratory animal and research settings.
- Experience or training in animal handling, clinical examination, and basic veterinary procedures, preferably with small laboratory animals.
- Knowledge of animal ethics, welfare regulations, and compliance frameworks in research environments; familiarity with Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) processes is an advantage.
- Interest in oncology, metastasis biology, or translational cancer research; prior exposure to preclinical or in vivo studies is beneficial.
- Ability to accurately record data, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain detailed experimental documentation.
- Robust observational skills, attention to detail, and capability to identify and report animal health or behavior changes promptly.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary scientific and technical teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in Hoskote and adapt to a fast-paced, research-driven environment; openness to learning new techniques and platforms such as METAssay, METSCAN, and METVivo.
