St. Francis De Sales School, Narengi, Guwahati invites applications for the position of Assistant Teacher – PHE & NCC Coordinator.

We are looking for a passionate, disciplined and committed individual with a strong NCC background who can inspire students through the values of leadership, service, teamwork, discipline and patriotism, while also effectively teaching Physical & Health Education and supporting the physical and holistic development of students.

Key Responsibilities

NCC & Student Development

- Plan, coordinate and conduct NCC training and related activities.
- Mentor and motivate NCC cadets to participate in camps, parades, competitions and community service initiatives.
- Coordinate the School Band and ceremonial programmes.
- Liaise with NCC authorities and ensure compliance with applicable NCC guidelines and procedures.
- Foster discipline, leadership, teamwork, patriotism and a spirit of service among students.
- Maintain NCC records and coordinate all related documentation and communication.
- Encourage and guide students in developing confidence, leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility through NCC.

Physical & Health Education (PHE)

- Plan and conduct engaging PHE classes appropriate to students' age and developmental needs.
- Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship,



discipline and teamwork.
- Organise and support sports, fitness activities, competitions and other physical education programmes.
- Encourage students to participate actively in sports and physical activities and nurture their interests and abilities.
- Maintain appropriate records related to PHE, sports and student participation.

Eligibility & Requirements

- B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. is mandatory.
- NCC Certification is mandatory.
- Candidates holding an NCC 'C' Certificate and/or having experience as an Associate NCC Officer (ANO) or in NCC training will be given preference.
- Prior experience in coordinating NCC activities, camps, parades, ceremonial programmes or student leadership initiatives will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to discipline, mentor and motivate students while fostering a positive and supportive learning setting.
- A genuine commitment to student development through NCC, physical fitness, discipline, leadership and service.
