To lead the SCM team and ensure smooth end-to-end material flow, production planning, inventory control, machine loading, dispatch coordination, and customer requirements in the CNC/VMC Machine Shop. The role is responsible for monitoring overall SCM activities and ensuring on-time production and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the SCM team and allocate day-to-day responsibilities.
- Monitor overall material planning, production planning and scheduling for CNC/VMC machine shop.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, bought-out items, tools and consumables as per production requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room and Dispatch teams.
- Monitor machine loading, production priorities and job-wise material availability.
- Prepare and monitor MRP/MPS based on customer requirements and production plans.
- Track Plan vs Actual production and identify shortages, delays and bottlenecks.
- Monitor WIP, RM and FG inventory and maintain optimum stock levels.
- Ensure timely material issue to production and proper material movement.
- Monitor subcontracting / outside processing activities wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with vendors for material availability and delivery commitments.
- Monitor customer orders, delivery schedules and ensure OTD – On-Time Delivery.
- Track pending orders and take corrective actions to avoid production or dispatch delays.
- Maintain proper ERP/SAP transactions related to PR, PO, GRN, material issue, stock transfer, production orders and inventory.
- Analyze inventory ageing, excess stock, slow-moving and non-moving materials.




- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly SCM reports and management MIS.
- Monitor critical components and ensure timely escalation of shortages.
- Coordinate with Quality for rejection, rework and replacement material requirements.
- Support cost reduction, inventory reduction and working-capital improvement initiatives.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement within SCM activities.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality systems and safety requirements.
- Train, guide and evaluate SCM team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings and review departmental KPIs.
- Escalate critical material, production and delivery issues to management with suitable action plans.
