About the RoleAstute Connect is looking for an experienced and resourceful Assistant Manager – Expert Network Sourcing to independently manage the identification, engagement, screening, and onboarding of industry experts for time-sensitive research projects.

This is a primarily non-client-facing and work-from-home position. The selected candidate will receive project requirements from our internal client-facing team and will be responsible for converting those requirements into an effective expert sourcing strategy.

The candidate must be capable of finding highly relevant industry professionals, even when suitable experts are not easily available through LinkedIn. This role requires creative research, industry mapping, persistence, professional outreach, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects from requirement assessment through expert onboarding.

The successful candidate will also support and guide the existing sourcing team member, improve sourcing processes, and help Astute Connect build stronger expert pipelines across industries and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently understand project briefs and identify the exact type of expert required based on industry, company, function, seniority, geography, products, technologies, and qualified experience.
- Convert complex client requirements into clear target profiles and practical sourcing strategies.
- Identify relevant industry leaders, former executives, technical professionals, consultants, academics, key opinion leaders, and other subject-matter experts.
- Source experts through LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, while also using alternative research channels when suitable professionals cannot be found through LinkedIn.
- Use Google X-ray searches, Boolean searches, company mapping, competitor analysis, industry value-chain mapping, and professional database research.
- Find experts through company websites, leadership pages, annual reports, conference speaker lists, industry events, trade associations, professional bodies, research publications, patents, regulatory filings, alumni networks, business directories, trade journals, and professional communities.
- Explore a company’s competitors, suppliers,



distributors, customers, former employees, consultants, and industry partners to identify relevant experts.
- Develop referral-based sourcing strategies by requesting recommendations from existing experts and industry contacts.
- Use appropriate contact discovery and professional outreach tools to identify business email addresses and publicly available professional contact information.
- Contact prospective experts through telephone calls, emails, LinkedIn, professional networks, and other appropriate channels.
- Clearly explain Astute Connect’s business model, consultation process, expert compensation, compliance expectations, and the purpose of the proposed engagement.
- Conduct detailed screening conversations to verify the expert’s experience, knowledge, relevance, availability, communication ability, and suitability for the project.
- Verify current and previous employment information and ensure that expert profiles accurately reflect relevant first-hand experience.
- Prepare concise, accurate, and professional expert biographies for internal review and client presentation.
- Manage expert onboarding, compliance confirmation, consultation rates, availability, profile completion, and scheduling information.
- Build reusable expert pipelines and industry maps for frequently requested sectors, companies, technologies, and functions.
- Maintain accurate project and expert information in the company’s database or CRM system.
- Manage multiple urgent sourcing projects independently and consistently meet project timelines.
- Review the relevance and quality of experts identified by junior team members and provide guidance on improving search strategies.
- Help develop sourcing procedures, research templates, outreach messages, screening questions, and expert qualification standards.




- Follow all confidentiality, compliance, data privacy, and skilled ethics requirements.

Essential Experience

- 3–6 years of experience in expert networks, executive search, recruitment research, leadership hiring, primary market research, B2B research, or professional talent sourcing.
- Previous experience working with an expert network company is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience independently handling difficult or highly specialized expert searches.
- Demonstrated ability to find experts through channels other than LinkedIn.
- Strong experience in Boolean search, Google X-ray search, company mapping, market mapping, and industry research.
- Ability to understand unfamiliar industries and quickly identify relevant companies, job titles, functions, and professional backgrounds.
- Experience approaching and engaging senior executives, industry professionals, technical specialists, and subject-matter experts.
- Strong telephone, email, and professional outreach skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to conduct structured screening conversations and prepare high-quality expert profiles.
- Strong attention to detail, persistence, time management, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment without continuous supervision.
- Reliable internet connection, personal computer, and a suitable work-from-home setup.
