Position Summary

This role will assume full accountability for operations at Bobst India’s BIN2 Plant (BIN2A & BIN2B), ensuring On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery of high-quality products at optimal cost. As a senior leader, the role requires driving operational excellence, delivery performance, safety and cost while empowering teams and fostering a customer-centric culture. The candidate will oversee a cross-functional team professionals across Assembly, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Planning, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Safety and Quality. This role requires strong leadership, accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing Operations

- Lead end-to-end plant operations to ensure timely, cost-productive, and high-quality production.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives and production targets.
- Optimize workflows, maximize resource utilization, and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure proper maintenance and reliability of equipment and facilities.
- Track performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.

2. Quality Management

- Establish and sustain a robust quality management system.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and minimize defects and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.

3. Safety Management

- Provide a safe and healthy workplace through effective safety systems and protocols.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to proactively mitigate hazards.
- Foster a strong safety culture and employee engagement in HSE programs.
- Ensure adherence to local and national safety regulations in the plant.

4. Product Development

- Partner with R&D; to drive new product introductions.
- Integrate new products seamlessly into manufacturing processes.
- Enhance product designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional teams in product launch execution.

5. Procurement & Supply Chain

- Oversee procurement to ensure timely,



cost-effective sourcing of materials and components.
- Implement strategies to optimize supplier performance and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve delivery, quality, or pricing issues.

6. Continuous Improvement & People Development

- Champion Lean practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coach and empower teams, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Build a safety-first mindset across the organization.
- Lead with integrity, aligned to company values and code of conduct.

Requirements for the Role

- Education
- Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech.) in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (Full-time).
- Experience
- 15+ years in manufacturing, preferably in the engineering domain.
- Significant leadership experience across multiple plant operations.
- Proven track record in timely delivery, profitability, safety, and operational excellence.

- Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to manage internal and external stakeholders.

- Technical & Functional Expertise
- End-to-end manufacturing operations: assembly, fabrication, machining, painting, logistics, and supply chain.
- Expertise in supply base expansion, capability building, and operational scale-up.
- Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing and operational excellence strategies.
- Strong commitment to sustainability, health, safety, environment (HSE), and quality excellence.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, including suppliers, dealers, customers, and labor unions.
- Experience in multicultural, global environments with ability to contribute to global discussions.
- Exposure to automation, digitalization, and data analytics in manufacturing.

Languages: Marathi (spoken, for shopfloor), English + Hindi (business)
