Job Summary The Assistant Accountant supports the Accounts Department in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing accounting documents, processing daily accounting transactions, and ensuring timely documentation. The role assists the

Accountant in statutory compliance, invoice processing, reconciliation, inventory accounting, and maintaining organized financial records.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

 Assist in maintaining books of accounts in Tally Prime.

 Record daily accounting transactions accurately.

 Prepare accounting vouchers and supporting documents.

 Verify invoices and maintain accounting records.

 Support month-end accounting activities.

GST & Tax Support

 Assist in preparing GST-related data.

 Organize statutory documents for review by the Accountant and Chartered

Accountant.





 Maintain proper filing of tax-related documents.

Banking & Reconciliation

 Assist in bank reconciliation activities.

 Record banking transactions in accounting software.

 Maintain proper reconciliation records.

 Support in resolving transaction discrepancies.

E-Way Bills & Documentation

 Generate e-way bills and e-invoices as instructed.

 Maintain export and transport-related accounting documents.

 Organize financial records for audit and statutory purposes.

Documentation & Record Keeping

 Maintain physical and digital accounting records.

 Ensure proper filing of vouchers, invoices, and financial documents.

 Keep financial records updated and easily retrievable.

Required Skills

 Good understanding of bookkeeping principles

 Knowledge of GST fundamentals

 Tally Prime

 Microsoft Excel

 Basic GST Portal knowledge

 E-Way Bill Portal

Educational Qualification

 B.Com (Mandatory)

 M.Com will be an added advantage.

Experience

 1–3 years of experience in accounting.

 Experience in a manufacturing or textile organization will be preferred.





 Fresh graduates with strong accounting fundamentals may also be considered for junior positions.
