Loreto is a design-driven home furnishing brand creating thoughtful, relatable, and engaging content for modern audiences.

We are looking for an Animator who can bring characters, stories, and creative ideas to life through engaging 2D and/or 3D animation, especially for short-form social media content.

About the Role

You will work closely with the creative and social media teams to develop character-based animated content, Instagram reels, brand stories, and other visual content.

We are looking for someone who understands that social media animation is not just about making things move it's about expressions, timing, storytelling, humour, and keeping viewers hooked.

You will receive scripts, creative direction, references, and character assets where required, and your role will be to turn these into engaging, polished animations.

Key Responsibilities

Create 2D and/or 3D character animations for Instagram reels and short-form content

Animate characters with expressive facial expressions, gestures, movements, and acting

Convert scripts and storyboards into engaging animated videos

Work on character-based storytelling and relatable social media content

Sync animation with voiceovers, music, sound effects, and dialogues

Maintain strong pacing, timing, transitions, and visual storytelling

Adapt animation styles according to different creative requirements

Work with provided character designs, layered assets, rigs, or references

Collaborate with the creative and social media teams on concepts and execution

Make revisions based on feedback and ensure timely delivery

Keep up with Instagram trends,



meme culture, visual trends, and short-form content formats

Suggest creative improvements wherever required

Requirements:

1+ years of relevant experience in 2D/3D animation or a similar role preferred

Strong portfolio showcasing character animation must-have

Experience creating short-form content, reels, social media videos, or similar content

Good understanding of animation principles, timing, expressions, movement, and storytelling

Ability to work with both provided assets and create animation from scratch when required

Strong attention to detail and sense of visual composition

Ability to understand scripts and translate them into visual storytelling

Good communication and ability to work collaboratively with a creative team

Tools

Experience with any relevant animation tools such as:

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Animate

Toon Boom

Blender

Cinema 4D

Maya

3ds Max

Character Animator

Other 2D/3D animation software

You do not need to know every tool. Strong animation skills and a valuable portfolio matter more.

Bonus Points If You

Understand Instagram/TikTok-style short-form content

Have worked on character-based reels or animated storytelling

Understand meme culture and internet humour

Can create expressive and relatable character acting

Have experience working with D2C brands, social media, or advertising content

Can suggest ideas to improve hooks, pacing, and retention

Can work across both 2D and 3D workflows
