Role Description The Animation and VFX Faculty role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The faculty member will plan and deliver structured lessons in 2D/3D animation and visual effects, including fundamentals, advanced techniques, and industry-standard workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting classes, supervising lab sessions, mentoring students on projects and portfolios, and providing regular feedback on assignments.

The role involves designing and updating course materials, demonstrating software tools and production pipelines, and aligning teaching with current industry practices.



The faculty member will collaborate with the academic team on curriculum improvements, participate in reviews and assessments, and support events, workshops, and placement-related activities.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Animation and VFX production, including at least one major area such as character animation, motion graphics, compositing, or 3D modeling.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, After Effects, Nuke, Houdini, or similar tools commonly used in animation and VFX pipelines).
- Experience with storytelling, cinematic language, shot planning, and basic editing principles relevant to animation and visual effects.
- Practical background in studio or production environments, with an understanding of end-to-end workflows, asset management, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and evaluate students, including clear communication, structured feedback, and classroom management.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Animation, VFX, Multimedia, Fine Arts, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
- Strong portfolio or showreel showcasing qualified or academic work in animation and visual effects.
- Comfort working with diverse learners, with a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices and continuous skill upgradation.
