What this role is about

- We are looking for a practical, forward-thinking AI Process Optimization Lead to help us rethink how we design and build. We don't just want to automate old habits; we want to completely redesign our construction workflows by weaving AI, LLMs, and smart agents directly into our design, drafting, and modeling pipelines.
- In this role, you will spend your time hunting down bottlenecks in our design software, figuring out where human effort is being wasted on repetitive modeling tasks, and building smoother, faster workflows. You will be the bridge that connects our architectural and engineering challenges with our technical AI teams, turning abstract ideas into practical tools that save time and reduce errors.

What you will do everyday

- Finding and Mapping Inefficiencies
- Shadow design teams: Watch how our architects, engineers, and drafters actually get work done to find hidden bottlenecks.
- Audit modeling tools: Spot the slow, manual tasks within our CAD, BIM, and drafting software that frustrate employees and slow down project delivery.
- Identify time-wastage gaps: Pinpoint where data gets lost or manually re-entered when moving project files between different design and modeling platforms.
- Designing and Launching AI Workflows
- Reimagine design processes: Sketch out new ways of working that use prompts, LLMs, and AI agents to handle heavy lifting in drafting and modeling.
- Test tools: Partner with our tech teams to try out new AI-powered construction and design software, making sure it is safe, secure, and actually works.
- Run experiments: Launch small, quick pilot projects to prove an AI tool works before rolling it out company-wide.
- Keeping Systems Sharp




- Track real results: Watch key numbers like drafting speed, modeling accuracy rates, and time savings to prove your projects are working.
- Fix errors: Regularly tweak system rules and prompts to prevent AI mistakes or outdated design outputs.
- Build safety nets: Set up explicit human-in-the-loop rules so the AI safely hands off complex engineering decisions to a real person.
- Bringing People Along
- Keep it safe: Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure our AI use respects construction regulations, data privacy, and intellectual property.
- Coach design teams: Teach drafters and modelers how to use their new AI tools, running friendly workshops to help them feel confident and reduce adoption anxiety.

What we are looking for

Your Background

- Proven track record: Around 5+ years of experience fixing broken processes, ideally within construction, architecture, or engineering project management.
- Industry familiarity: Deep understanding of how construction design, drafting, and 3D modeling pipelines actually work.
- AI experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience putting AI tools or automated workflows into production.
- Daily tools: You use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or basic automation platforms regularly and understand what they can—and cannot—do.

Your Skills

- Problem solving: You love breaking down a messy, complicated modeling or drafting problem into clean, logical steps.
- Data smarts: You are comfortable looking at project data and timelines to prove where a design process is failing or losing hours.
- Communication: You can talk tech with software engineers and design strategy with architects without losing anyone in translation.
- Adaptability: You do not need a perfect handbook; you enjoy figuring things out in a fast-paced, changing environment.
