Role Description The Senior Admissions Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kerala, India. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end admissions process for international universities, including counseling prospective students, assessing eligibility, guiding program and country selection, and coordinating application documentation.

The Senior Admissions

Officer will communicate regularly with students, families, and institutional partners, ensure timely follow-up, and deliver high-quality customer service throughout the admissions and visa preparation journey. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate application records, reviewing admission requirements, supporting visa file preparation,



collaborating with internal teams for marketing and outreach activities, and staying updated on international education trends and policies. The role also involves mentoring junior admissions staff, contributing to process improvements, and upholding Medcity’s standards of ethical, transparent guidance.

Qualifications

- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to counsel students, interact with families, and collaborate with team members and institutional partners.
- Demonstrated experience in International Admissions and Education services, including knowledge of global universities, programs, and entry requirements.
- Customer Service skills with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and solution-oriented support for students and professionals.
- Ability to work with cross-cultural populations and an understanding of overseas education and healthcare career pathways.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications in international education or counseling is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of regional languages and robust writing skills for application and documentation support.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple applications, deadlines, and student cases simultaneously.
- Experience in student counseling, visa guidance, or study abroad consulting, preferably in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, office productivity tools, and online communication platforms.
