Role Description The 2D Rebar Detailer is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai. The role involves preparing accurate 2D rebar shop drawings from structural and architectural plans, including bar bending schedules, placement details, and reinforcement layouts. The detailer reviews and interprets engineering and architectural drawings, resolves drawing conflicts, and coordinates with engineers and other detailers to ensure compliance with relevant codes and project specifications.





Daily tasks include updating drawings based on review comments, maintaining drawing standards and documentation, and supporting timely delivery to meet project deadlines. The role also requires close attention to quality, dimensional accuracy, and constructability to support efficient fabrication and site execution.

Qualifications

- Ability to produce detailed and accurate shop drawings, including 2D reinforcement layouts and bar bending schedules.
- Skills in rebar detailing for reinforced concrete elements, with understanding of reinforcement standards and codes.
- Experience interpreting and working with architectural drawings and structural design documents.
- Knowledge of steel detailing and steel structures is an advantage.
- Proficiency in relevant CAD software CADS RC
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred, with prior experience in rebar detailing.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and commitment to quality and process adherence.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a structured, professional team environment.
