SAP WM Senior Consultant About: A SAP Warehouse Management (WM) consultant with SAP S/4HANA experience focuses on implementing, configuring, and supporting S/4HANA solutions for warehouse operations, including both the embedded WM and advanced Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) modules.
Key responsibilities include gathering business requirements, designing solutions, configuring the system (e.g., storage types, putaway strategies), integrating with other SAP modules, supporting end-users, and managing projects, often with a focus on the recent Fiori apps.
Roles & Responsibilities: In depth understanding of SAP WM domain experience Experience in Application Support and working on SLA, CHR Delivery process to meet customer requirements and Any SAP Project Implementation activities.
Deliver solutions in line with system design standards which are global and scalable following a global template philosophy (Core/Template) Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined in the architecture handbook Ensure that project/enhancements work is delivered to agreed time, cost and quality constraints following the release calendars Ensure that developed solutions are peer reviewed, formally documented and signed off by business Initiate solution testing to ensure these meet quality standards Follow standardized design and development processes to enable cost effective delivery Proficient and well versed in working in S4 HANA system for SE UNIFY Journey - Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP S/4HANA functional specifications across relevant modules (e.g., MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, QM, PM).
Configure and customize SAP S/4HANA modules to align with business processes and UNIFY standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between modules and third-party systems.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Provide end-user training and create functional documentation and SOPs.
Responsibilities include Configuration of the SAP WM module, assessment of client business problems, conducting the analysis to solve the problems, administration of engagement activities (e.g., creation of charts/graphs and other reports, data entry, etc.) in support of work products and client deliverables Technology Skills: 4 to 5 years of experience on projects (both complete Core template design / build / validation, roll-out and support) in the area of SAP – Warehouse Management (WM) with HUM (Handling Unit Management) and SAP MM modules.
Should have minimum 4+ years of experience in SAP WM S4 HANA S4 HANA work experience is needed Should have worked on Implementation/ Enhancements / rollout in WM projects.
Should have worked with configurations of SAP WM process to suit business needs.
Should have worked in WM Master Data integration via Core Interfaces.
Should have work experience and deep knowledge on following areas of WM: Inbound process Outbound process Process oriented storage control & layout oriented storage control Replenishment Slotting and Re-arrangement Physical Inventory process Transportation Unit Management Resource management Value Added Service Yard Management RF device Wave Management Post-processing Framework MFS Integration with ASRS system, Telegrams and communication points.
Interface for one or two way Communication to Other/Second/Third Party system Integration.
Setting up ABAP push channel and SAP Plant connectivity as communication layer. IDOC, RFC and CIF Knowledge on Interfacing to Non-SAP system Should have good working experience on Agile methodology.
Should have good working experience on Dev
Ops Model.
Operational business experience Very good knowledge of SAP functional (processes, available functionalities, …) and technical background (customizing, environment, transport orders, …), different stages of projects (run, deployments, testing, …) as well as project management skills (planning follow-up, team work, multiple teams interaction, …) Understanding of SAP enterprise Structure and interface concept and management.
Experience with on-site is an added advantage.
Behavioral Skills: Should be able to coordinate with global team and service SLA’s.
Ensure specifications are fully challenged and understood.
Strong Analytical, Logical, and Communication Skills Ensure good application development and delivery adhering to SDLC process.
Team working (interaction with lots of different teams – Regional teams, Local support, etc).
Customer centric and capacity to deliver high level of service.
