Profile: Proposal & Estimation Manager

Experience:

- 8+ Years preferred; relevant industry experience will be given higher preference
- Candidates with experience in the same or closely related industry will be highly preferred, even if their total experience differs from the preferred range.

Roles:

- Lead the complete Proposal & Estimation process.
- Review customer enquiries, RFQs, tender documents and technical specifications.
- Prepare accurate techno-commercial proposals and detailed cost estimates.
- Understand project scope and prepare costing based on technical requirements.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Production, Projects and Sales teams for required inputs.
- Prepare equipment, material, fabrication, subcontracting and project-related cost estimates.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing.




- Identify project risks and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure proposals meet customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Ensure quotations are prepared and submitted within deadlines.
- Maintain costing databases, estimation records and standard pricing sheets.
- Support the Sales team during technical discussions, bid clarifications and customer meetings.
- Work on value engineering to improve project competitiveness and profitability.
- Manage and guide the Proposal & Estimation team.

Qualification:

- B.E./B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
