In this role you will be responsible for the Technical Design of fitness apparel & accessory products. Working with in-house team on tailoring the product to the specific functions.The Sportswear Technical Designer coordinates the fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles to lead to on time development and delivery according to critical dates and product specification goals.The individual will also create and revise Tech Packs and ensure all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specs and prototype notes. In addition, he/she will execute fit and construction standards for a team or product group to ensure consistency. You will track and facilitate prototyping for styles; identify and address key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver proven and tested product. Additionally, you will monitor and communicate progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements.The Technical Designer keeps abreast of market trends, team goals, new technologies and consumer needs throughout the development process and engages appropriately to ensure projects are completed within deadline.Responsibilities Design high-quality, on trend apparel & accessories, that include gym wear, running wear and accessories Conduct market research,



brand product benchmarking and analyze trends to take informed design decisions Illustrate and prototype designs, and present them to the team and stakeholders Collaborate with cross-functional teams – sourcing, production, marketing, and buying. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target customer and their needs. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, fabrics, and technologies. Meet deadlines and deliver designs on time.
- Developing sketches and creating detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software for textile and clothing designs.
- Selecting suitable fabrics, colors, and trims to be used in the final product.
- Participating in the sample-making process and making necessary adjustments to designs. Qualifications
- You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- You have a degree in Fashion Designing from a recognized university
- You have a robust portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well in a small team
- Passion for creating unique and high-quality clothing, designs and fabrics
- Well-developed organizational and time management skillsDesired SkillsInnovative thinking with a keen eye for aesthetic balance.Ability to merge functionality and style.Understanding of sustainable design practices.Experience in 3D garment visualization.
