Role Summary

The Business Analyst acts as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, documented, developed, tested and implemented while maintaining appropriate operational, regulatory, risk, security and data privacy considerations.

Job Purpose:

To understand and analyse business requirements, document business processes, translate requirements into functional specifications, and coordinate between business teams, IT, vendors and other stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions for the NBFC. The role also ensures that business, regulatory, risk, information security and data privacy requirements are appropriately considered.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyse and document requirements from business functions such as Credit, Operations, Collections, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Customer Service.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, process flows, functional specifications and requirement traceability documents.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for IT, development and application teams.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, application teams and third-party vendors for system development, configuration, integration and enhancements.
- Prepare UAT strategy, test scenarios and test cases; coordinate UAT execution and defect resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Validate system functionality, business rules, calculations, workflows, reports and interfaces against approved requirements.
- Support implementation, release, change management, user training and post-implementation activities.




- Analyse business and system data to identify exceptions, process gaps, reconciliation issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure requirements appropriately consider RBI/regulatory requirements, compliance controls, audit requirements, information security, data privacy and internal policies.
- Support change requests by assessing functional impact, dependencies, risks and business implications.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for production issues, root-cause analysis, functional clarifications and resolution of application-related issues.
- Maintain functional documentation, process maps, requirement repositories, UAT evidence and other project documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant business process, application and control documentation.
- Ensure appropriate controls relating to user access, audit trails, data quality, segregation of duties and operational controls are considered in system requirements.

6. Educational Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline. Relevant experience in business analysis, financial services, NBFCs, banking, fintech or technology implementation is preferred.
