IT Procurement Specialist

SYSTRA India, a global leader in engineering and consulting for public transport infrastructure, is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to join their team in Faridabad. Missions/Main Duties

Reporting to the Manager IT, the IT Procurement Specialist will be primarily responsible for handling IT procurement. Your main missions will include:

- Involving appropriate stakeholders in the IT procurement decision process.
- Responding to specialized user group requirements, ensuring satisfaction with vendor selection and service.
- Researching potential vendors/suppliers and comparing and evaluating their offers to provide recommendations.
- Developing and maintaining professional business relations with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Accomplishing IT procurement business goals and objectives in a time-bound manner.
- Developing and maintaining a robust supplier base and fostering mutually beneficial strategic relations with vendors.
- Maintaining a solid emphasis on accuracy and detail.
- Handling multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
- Being in charge of daily operational purchasing needs, such as planning, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders, delivery, and shipment schedules.
- Reviewing the quality of purchased products.
- Entering order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases/records.
- Maintaining updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.




- Preparing reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Submitting IT invoices in a timely manner for on-time payments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum Qualification & Experience: B. Sc., BCA, or MBA in IT operations or Purchasing, with at least 4-5 years of experience in IT procurements.
- Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of specifications for IT hardware like Dell, Lenovo, HP laptops/desktops, servers, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with construction engineering software licenses such as Autodesk, ETAP, ArcGIS, Midas, Rail Sys, HAP, Bentley products, etc.
- Communication: Good communication skills, especially fluent English speaking.
- Teamwork: A team player with a geek mindset.
- Procurement Expertise: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
- Vendor Management: Great relationship management skills and valuable knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors), including RFI/RFQ/RFP processes.
- Time Management: Impeccable time-management skills.
- Work Ethic: Hardworking, meticulous, and with a positive attitude.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access) and SAP.
- Work Environment: Able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Attributes: Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and independent worker.
