Junior Engineer (Civil) Grade - 1, Kochi

SYSTRA India, a global leader in engineering and consulting for public transport infrastructure, is looking for a Junior Engineer (Civil) Grade - 1 to join the Kochi Metro Project. With over 60 years of expertise and a valuable presence in India since 1957, SYSTRA is committed to technical excellence and improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency.

SYSTRA has been a key partner in over 80% of metro projects across major Indian cities, including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Kochi. As the General Consultant (GC) for Phase-II of the Kochi Metro Rail Project, SYSTRA offers a unique opportunity to be at the heart of this transformative infrastructure development.

Missions/Main Duties

As a Junior Engineer (Civil), your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and leading the inspection and quality assurance efforts related to the project's construction program.
- Conducting field visits and inspections of ongoing construction, including station construction, under various field conditions.
- Performing interface management with various stakeholders and submitting periodic reports to relevant authorities.

Profile/Skills

- Education:



Graduate or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant field for Graduates.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the relevant field for Diploma holders.
- Out of this, a minimum of 2 years of experience should be in a similar role within elevated metro rail projects or transportation infrastructure bridge projects.
- Software Proficiency: Experience in MS Office and AutoCAD is a must.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems, especially in an integrated project delivery setting, applying industry best practices.
- Leadership Qualities: A self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
