Finance Transformation Lead Workday Implementation (GCC)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Capacity Building: Lead, scale, and mentor the GCC Workday Financials Support Group, transforming it from an administrative setup into a strategic, high-performing finance systems support engine.
- Global Process Ownership: Act as the Global Process Owner (GPO) for Workday Financials from the GCC perspective.
- Process Transition & Standardization: Lead and scale the migration of Record-to-Report (R2R), Source-to-Pay (S2P), and Lead-to-Cash (L2C) processes from global markets into the GCC while standardizing and optimizing workflows.
- Knowledge Transfer & Runbooks: Receive Knowledge Transfer (KT) from the central project team and implementation partners, translating configurations, learnings, and defect resolutions into operational runbooks.
- BAU & SLA Management: Oversee global ticket intake and triaging across Workday Financials (FDM, R2R, S2P, L2C). Ensure routine admin tasks are resolved within strict SLAs and escalate system defects appropriately.
- Hypercare & Go-Live Support: Partner directly with global Value Stream Implementation Leads to deliver intensive, tactical Hypercare support during multiple concurrent country rollouts.
- Testing & Data Migration: Support Implementation Leads with project administration, including driving UAT/SIT completion, defect tracking, and formatting/validating complex legacy data extracts for Workday migration.
- Continuous Improvement: Perform root-cause analysis on recurring tickets to propose system enhancements and optimize efficiency in alignment with the Workday environment.
- Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate across global finance leaders, HR, IT, local markets, and external implementation partners to ensure alignment with business requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in Finance Transformation, ERP Implementations, and leading F&A; teams/support functions within a Multinational Organization or Global Capability Center (GCC) / Shared Services environment.
- Education & Qualification:
- Professional Accounting Qualification mandatory: CA / CPA / ACCA / MBA Finance.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with Workday Financial Management (preferably with active involvement in full lifecycle implementation or major upgrades).
- In-depth functional expertise in Record-to-Report (R2R), Source-to-Pay (S2P), and Lead-to-Cash (L2C) workstreams.
- Deep, practical knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Strong familiarity with enterprise consolidation tools (e.g., Tagetik or similar).
- Key Behavioral Traits:
- Proven ability to transition teams from project execution to steady-state operations without disrupting service quality.
- Solid cross-cultural influence and stakeholder management capabilities across global time zones.
- Rapid problem-solving agility to distinguish critical system defects from end-user adoption issues.
- Shift Timings: Flexible to work in shift timings from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST with additional flexibility as required by country rollout schedules.
