Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage procurement of capital equipment, steel bars, castings, forgings, bearings, and foundry raw materials.

The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, purchase planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment as per technical and production requirements.

The role requires solid knowledge of engineering components, steel products, foundry materials, manufacturing processes, vendor capabilities, and commercial negotiations.

- Develop and execute procurement strategies for engineering and manufacturing requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for capital equipment, castings, forgings, steel bars, bearings, and foundry raw materials.
- Handle procurement of machinery, production equipment, testing equipment,



material-handling equipment, and other capital items
- Manage procurement of MS/Alloy Steel/Carbon Steel/Stainless Steel and other steel bars, rounds, flats, plates, and related engineering materials.
- Negotiate prices based on market conditions, steel indices, volume, specifications, and delivery requirements.

Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related discipline.

MBA/PG qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Materials Management will be an advantage

Proven experience in purchasing capital equipment, castings, forgings, steel bars, bearings, and foundry raw materials.
