About the Role

We are looking for a talented Shorts Video Editor to create high-quality, engaging short-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other social media platforms.

The ideal candidate understands what makes short-form content hook viewers, retain attention, and drive shares and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other short-form videos.
- Turn raw footage, long-form videos, podcasts, interviews, and daily-life footage into engaging short clips.
- Identify the strongest moments and create compelling hooks within the first few seconds.
- Add captions, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, music, zooms, graphics, and other elements where appropriate.
- Maintain fast pacing and strong viewer retention.
- Follow current short-form video trends and editing styles.
- Create multiple variations of content when required.
- Maintain consistent visual and editing quality across the brand's social media channels.
- Work closely with the content and social media team to meet daily publishing requirements.
- Organize and maintain video files and project files properly.
- Deliver edits within assigned deadlines.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software.
- Excellent understanding of short-form content.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, timing, and visual composition.
- Ability to create attention-grabbing hooks.
- Good understanding of subtitles, captions, sound design, music,



and transitions.
- Ability to edit content specifically for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
- Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
- Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills
- Experience editing content for creators, entrepreneurs, influencers, brands, or YouTube channels.
- Knowledge of viral short-form content formats.
- Basic motion graphics and animation skills.
- Basic thumbnail/design skills.
- Understanding of social-media analytics and viewer retention.
- Ability to identify clips with high viral potential.
