Job Purpose:

Responsible for safe, efficient, and quality-focused operation of the epoxy hardener manufacturing plant during the assigned shift, including manpower management, batch production, process control, equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute production batches as per the production schedule.

- Supervise plant operators and contract manpower during the shift.

- Ensure correct charging of raw materials according to batch sheets and SOPs.

- Monitor reactor temperature, pressure, agitation, vacuum, addition rates, and other critical process parameters.

- Ensure adherence to approved batch manufacturing procedures and process specifications.

- Coordinate with QC for sampling, testing, and batch clearance.

- Monitor production yield, cycle time, material consumption, and process losses.

- Ensure proper operation of reactors, storage tanks, pumps, filters, scrubbers, cooling/heating systems, and other process equipment.

- Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and equipment abnormalities.

- Ensure compliance with EHS, PPE, permit-to-work, chemical handling, and emergency procedures.





- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure protected handling/storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.

- Investigate process deviations, equipment problems, quality issues, and production losses.

- Complete batch records, logbooks, shift reports, and other production documentation.

- Conduct proper shift handover and communicate pending activities/issues to the next shift.

- Monitor inventory of raw materials, packing materials, and consumables required for the shift.

- Train and guide operators on SOPs, safety practices, and process requirements.

- Support troubleshooting, process improvement, productivity improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

- Participate in emergency response, incident investigation, and corrective/preventive actions when required.

Qualifications:

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or related discipline.

- Typically, 38 years of experience in chemical/process manufacturing, preferably epoxy resin, epoxy hardener, adhesives, coatings, or specialty chemicals.

- Experience with batch reactors and chemical manufacturing processes is preferred.
