Job Purpose To develop, implement and integrate automation and robotic systems for manufacturing processes. The role will focus on PLC, robotics, machine integration, SCADA and automation projects to improve productivity, quality, safety and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation & Robotics

- Develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI and industrial robots.
- Work with robots such as KUKA, Yaskawa, FANUC, ABB or equivalent.
- Develop robot programs, teach points and optimize robot cycle time.
- Integrate robots with machines, sensors, PLCs and safety systems.
- Support development of automated production lines and SPMs.

2. PLC & SCADA

- Develop and modify PLC programs.
- Develop HMI screens and machine interfaces.
- Implement SCADA and machine data monitoring.
- Monitor production, downtime, alarms, cycle time and machine performance.
- Support integration of machines with production dashboards/MES.

3. Process Automation

- Identify manual and semi-automatic processes suitable for automation.
- Develop automation concepts and technical specifications.
- Support automation of material handling, assembly, inspection and production processes.
- Work with Design, Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to improve processes.

4. Troubleshooting & Improvement

- Troubleshoot PLC, robot, sensor, servo and machine-related problems.
- Reduce machine downtime and improve OEE.
- Improve cycle time, productivity and process reliability.
- Identify opportunities for automation and cost reduction.




- Support continuous improvement activities.

5. Safety

- Ensure proper implementation of machine safety systems.
- Work with safety interlocks, emergency stops, light curtains and safety sensors.
- Participate in machine risk assessments.
- Ensure robots and automated machines operate safely.

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation or Robotics.
- 712 years of relevant industrial automation experience.

Preferred Industry Experience Experience in automotive, railway, forging, stamping, machining, injection molding, assembly or heavy engineering will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate A hands-on Automation & Robotics Engineer who can independently understand the manufacturing process, develop automation solutions, program/control machines, coordinate with vendors and commission the system successfully. The candidate should be comfortable working directly on the shop floor and solving practical automation and machine-integration problems.
