Job Description Role Overview
n We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Engineer (Hull Structures) to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in ship structural design, finite element analysis, and be capable of working collaboratively across functions to deliver innovative and robust engineering solutions.
n Key Responsibilities
n n Lead and execute structural design and analysis of ship hull structures.
n Perform detailed finite element analysis (FEA) for structural integrity, fatigue, and strength assessment.
n Ensure compliance with classification society rules, statutory requirements, and company standards.
n Review and validate design calculations, drawings, and technical documents.
n Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including hydrodynamics, outfitting, piping, and production departments.
n Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in the team.
n Contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies, processes, and best practices.




n n Required Skills & Competencies
n n Strong technical expertise in ship structural design and analysis.
n Advanced proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and structural assessment methods.
n Sound knowledge of classification society rules, ship design standards, and regulatory requirements.
n Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
n Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
n Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
n n Preferred Qualifications
n n B.Tech / M.Tech in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
n 5–7 years of relevant experience in ship structural design and FEA.
n Exposure to software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, HyperMesh, or similar structural analysis tools.
n Prior experience in shipyard or marine/offshore engineering projects will be an added advantage.
