Role Purpose The primary objective of this position at Wipro Technologies is to design, develop, and optimize robust software modules tailored to client requirements within the Data Analytics and AI sector. The role involves comprehensive involvement in the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, rigorous testing, and seamless implementation. Additionally, this position demands active coordination with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of quality and timely delivery of projects.

You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency in handling large-scale data environments, contributing to our commitment to being a leader in digital transformation solutions.

As a key contributor to the data transformation practice, the successful candidate will leverage expertise in Big Data technologies and cloud platforms to develop scalable and secure data pipelines. The role also includes mentoring junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing, and adhering to Agile methodologies to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Areas of Responsibility

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable data pipelines utilizing Spark (Python/Scala) within Hadoop and Cloudera Data Platforms (CDP).

Innovate with large-scale data sets by adopting cutting-edge technologies and optimizing data ingestion, movement, and access workflows through automation and collaboration.

Implement and uphold rigorous software development standards and engineering best practices in the Big Data space to ensure robustness and maintainability.





Contribute actively to the enhancement of process efficiency and technical standardization within the team and broader organizational context.

Independently manage assigned tasks and swiftly resolve production incidents while ensuring minimal disruption.

Operate proficiently within Agile/Scrum frameworks, including the creation of detailed user stories, participation in sprint planning, review sessions, and retrospectives.

Optimize Spark applications to achieve superior performance, scalability, and fault tolerance tailored to petabyte-scale data operations following Medallion architecture principles.

Build and manage complex data pipelines using Airflow, Python, PySpark integrated with Cloudera Data Engineering (CDE) and Cloudera Data Warehouse (CDW) services.

Implement and maintain HIVE external tables, partitions, and work extensively with Apache Iceberg tables and Ozone object storage formats.

Work across hybrid environments encompassing on-premises systems and clouds such as AWS, Azure, and Databricks to deliver flexible, scalable data solutions.

Utilize advanced SQL skills including PL/SQL, Oracle database management, and Unix shell scripting for data processing and performance tuning.

Encourage a culture of continuous learning, self-motivation, and willingness to explore emerging technologies such as Axon and Kafka Streaming to enhance solution delivery.

Optional but advantageous skills include : experience building NiFi pipelines, strong analytical and debugging skills for production support, ability to multitask across multiple projects, effective verbal and written communication, and collaborating with geographically distributed teams.

Requirement Gathering & Coding

Engage actively with client stakeholders through workshops and discussions to thoroughly understand detailed business processes and technical requirements. Assist in prioritizing and documenting these requirements to align development efforts effectively.

Translate gathered requirements into high-quality,



maintainable code delivered as modular components that integrate seamlessly with existing systems. Apply coding standards, perform peer reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices while developing new features and enhancements.

Testing, Implementation & Documentation

Lead comprehensive testing cycles including unit, integration, and system testing to validate correctness, performance, and security of the developed modules. Collaborate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases to confirm alignment with business needs.

Participate in deployment and integration activities to ensure smooth rollout and operational stability of software applications across various environments.

Maintain detailed and clear project documentation encompassing technical specifications, design diagrams, workflows, and code annotations. Prepare status reports and communicate progress regularly to stakeholders to facilitate transparency and informed decision-making.
