Job Title & Reporting
Position: Architect (can be Junior Architect, Architect, Senior Architect, or Project Architect depending on experience).
Reports to: Senior Architect / Project Lead / Partner (Architecture).
Department: Architecture / Design Studio / Project Team.

Job Purpose / Summary
To lead the architectural design and documentation of buildings (residential, commercial, institutional, etc.), ensuring functional, aesthetic, and technically sound solutions.
To manage projects from concept to completion, balancing client needs, budget, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Project Management
Meet with clients to understand project brief, requirements, budget, and expectations.
Prepare feasibility studies, concept proposals, and preliminary cost/time estimates.
Manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables from pre‑design to construction completion.

Design & Concept Development
Develop conceptual and schematic designs (plans, sections, elevations, 3D massing) that respond to site, context, and client needs.




Create design presentations, renderings, and boards for client and stakeholder reviews.
Refine design through design development, considering materials, sustainability, and user experience.

Technical Documentation & Drawings
Prepare detailed architectural drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules) using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM tools.
Develop construction documentation, including specifications, BOQs, and tender drawings.
Ensure drawings are coordinated with structural, MEP, and other consultants to avoid clashes.

Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure designs comply with local building bylaws, NBC, fire norms, accessibility (CPWD/UDS norms), and environmental regulations.
Prepare and submit documents for planning permissions, building permits, and approvals.
Advise on zoning, FSI, setbacks, and other statutory requirements.
