Role Description The Project Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at CSIR-NEIST in Jorhat. This role supports project planning and execution by assisting in documentation, data collection, and maintaining project records.
Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, preparing minutes, tracking timelines and deliverables, and supporting communication between project team members and stakeholders.
The Project
Assistant may assist with basic data analysis, compiling reports, and organizing project-related files and materials.
The role also involves adherence to institutional procedures, helping with administrative tasks related to projects, and providing general support to scientists and project leaders to ensure smooth project operations.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage documentation, maintain organized records, and prepare clear reports and minutes.
- Solid coordination skills, including scheduling meetings, tracking tasks, and supporting project workflows.
- Basic data handling skills, such as collecting, organizing, and summarizing information in spreadsheets or databases.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with project teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and email communication.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work reliably in an on-site research environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, engineering, or a related discipline; prior experience in research or project support is an advantage.
- Familiarity with research processes or public-sector projects and willingness to learn institutional procedures.
