Company: Classplus / Polaris School of Technology (PST) About Polaris

Polaris is building a new-age, industry-focused learning ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world outcomes. We are looking for a Learning Quality Lead /

Lead Faculty who can help build and enforce high standards of teaching, assessments, and classroom experience as we scale.

Challenge: Own and drive the product strategy for global student programs — from designing the systems that maximize student outcomes to optimizing the product funnels that move core business metrics. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and execution, with a strong bias toward building automation and internal tooling that scales impact across teams, and toward equipping students with the interview readiness needed to convert opportunities into outcomes.

Biggest Gaps / Needs

Lack of a dedicated owner for end-to-end student program strategy and execution.

Manual, ad-hoc processes across teams that need systemized automation.

Underoptimized product funnels affecting activation, engagement, and conversion metrics.

No structured, requirement-specific interview preparation strategy tied to actual job/internship outcomes.

Need for internal tools that directly improve team productivity and reduce operational overhead.

Success in 6 Months

Has designed and shipped at least one global student program with measurable improvement in student outcomes.

Has identified and improved at least one key product funnel, with clear before/after metric impact.

Has automated at least 2–3 manual cross-domain processes, freeing up team bandwidth.

Has built or shipped at least one internal tool adopted by a team for daily use.

Has designed and piloted a structured interview-prep strategy tied to specific job/internship requirements,

with early evidence of improved student placement or interview success rates.

Must-haves:

1–3 years of experience in a tech / open source, product management, program strategy, or a closely related operating role.

Strong analytical skills — comfort working with funnel metrics, cohort data, and outcome tracking.

Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and ship automation or internal tools (with or without direct coding).

Understanding of interview and hiring processes well enough to design targeted prep strategies.

Strong stakeholder management — ability to work across engineering, design, growth, and operations.

Bias for execution — comfortable moving from strategy to shipped outcome without excessive hand-holding.

Structured thinking with the ability to break ambiguous problems into measurable workstreams.

Technical Skills

Product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA, or similar)

SQL or spreadsheet-level data analysis for funnel and metric tracking

Familiarity with no-code/low-code or scripting tools for automation (Zapier, Make, Python, Google Apps Script, etc.)

Working knowledge of product management tools (Notion, Jira, Linear, or similar)

Basic understanding of product/tech architecture to collaborate effectively with engineering

Exposure to AI tools for building lightweight internal tools or workflows — a strong plus

Domain Knowledge

Understanding of tech programs - Open Source programs, Fellowship and Coding contests

Familiarity with the job/internship hiring process — what recruiters and interviewers evaluate for.

EdTech, career services, or workforce readiness domain experience — strong plus.

Understanding of program design principles for cohort-based or fellowship-style initiatives.

Metrics Impacted

Student program outcomes (program selections and tags, program completion)

Key product funnel metrics (activation, conversion, retention)

Process automation coverage and resulting time/cost savings

Internal tool adoption and productivity impact across teams

Interview-to-offer conversion rate for students going through prep programs

Scale: This role directly shapes outcomes for a global student base and sits close to the leadership team on strategic priorities. You'll operate with high autonomy across product, operations, and student success — with visible, compounding impact across all four responsibility areas.

Open to 'up-and-comer'? Selectively yes. A sharp, execution-focused PM with 2+ years of experience and a demonstrated record of shipping outcomes (not just plans) can be considered, provided they show strong ownership and analytical rigor.

Deliverables

Strategy and execution roadmap for global student programs

Funnel analysis and optimization plans with measurable business metric impact

Automated workflows and internal tools shipped across at least 2–3 domains A structured, requirement-based interview prep framework and pilot rollout

Regular reporting on program outcomes, funnel health, and tooling impact to leadership

Current Companies / Target Background: Candidates from high-growth startups, EdTech companies, career services platforms, or product/growth teams with a track record of owning metrics end-to-end. Candidates with prior program management or student success experience are a strong fit.

Ideal Candidate Profile: A builder-operator hybrid — equally comfortable designing a student program strategy, digging into funnel data, shipping an internal automation tool, and structuring an interview-prep curriculum. Someone who treats ambiguity as a design problem, not a blocker.

Experience (Min–Max): 1–3 years in product management, program strategy, or growth/operations roles with demonstrable outcome ownership.

Other Details

Job Title: Product Manager

Department: Product / Student Success

Employment Type: Full time

Working Days: 5 days/week
