1. POSITION: PRODUCTION MANAGER

Job Summary VTK Industries is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to lead and manage the overall production operations. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, optimizing manpower and machine utilization, reducing rejection and downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

The Production Manager will work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Engineering, Stores, and other departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.

Candidates with hands-on experience in Injection Moulding are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets as per customer requirements and production plans.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, materials, and resources.
- Prepare and monitor production schedules.
- Monitor machine capacity, cycle time, output, and productivity.
- Manage and improve Injection Moulding production processes, where applicable.
- Ensure machines are running with the approved process parameters.
- Monitor mould changeover, machine setup, trials, and start-up activities.
- Reduce machine downtime, production losses, rejection, and rework.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Coordinate with Tool Room for mould-related issues and mould maintenance.
- Work closely with Quality to control process and product defects.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved specifications, work instructions, and control plans.
- Monitor production efficiency, OEE, cycle time, and machine utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Maintain proper production records, reports, and documentation.
- Analyze daily production performance and take corrective action for deviations.
- Ensure proper manpower planning and shift allocation.
- Train, guide, and develop Production Line Leaders, Supervisors, and Operators.
- Ensure proper implementation of 5S, safety, housekeeping, and discipline.
- Minimize material wastage and improve material utilization.
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Participate in new product trials, machine trials, mould trials, and process development.




- Ensure smooth handover between shifts.
- Escalate major production, quality, machine, and manpower issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
- Drive a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Mechanical, Production, Plastics, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
- 510+ years of relevant experience in production/manufacturing.
- Injection Moulding / Plastic Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
- Positive understanding of machine operation, cycle time, productivity, and OEE.
- Knowledge of mould changeover, machine setup, process parameters, and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of production planning and manpower management.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement will be an advantage.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Strong coordination skills with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Stores, and other departments.
- Ability to work in shifts and under production pressure.

VTK Industries is looking for a responsible and experienced Production Line Leader to supervise day-to-day production activities on the shop floor. The candidate will be responsible for managing operators, achieving shift production targets, monitoring machine performance, ensuring process compliance, and coordinating with Quality and Maintenance teams. Candidates with Injection Moulding / Plastic Manufacturing experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage production activities during the assigned shift.
- Ensure achievement of daily and shift-wise production targets.
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine operation, production output, and cycle time.
- Ensure machines are operated according to approved process parameters.
- Monitor Injection Moulding machines and production processes, where applicable.
- Assist in machine setup, mould changeover, trial, and start-up activities.
- Monitor production quantity and identify production losses.
- Immediately report machine breakdowns and process issues to Maintenance / Production Management.
- Coordinate with Quality Inspectors to ensure product quality.
- Ensure defective products are identified, segregated, and controlled.
- Reduce rejection,



rework, downtime, and material wastage.
- Ensure operators follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
- Maintain proper production records, shift reports, and check sheets.
- Monitor operator attendance, manpower utilization, and discipline.
- Ensure proper shift handover and communication of pending issues.
- Train and guide operators on machine operation and production requirements.
- Maintain 5S, housekeeping, safety, and discipline on the production floor.
- Ensure proper handling of raw materials, components, finished goods, and WIP.
- Monitor machine cleanliness and basic operating conditions.
- Support Production Manager in achieving productivity and efficiency targets.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Immediately escalate major production, quality, safety, or machine issues.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed by all team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Plastics, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in Production / Manufacturing.
- Injection Moulding experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plastic components and injection moulding processes.
- Knowledge of machine operation, cycle time, production output, and basic troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of production and quality requirements.
- Basic knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Good leadership and manpower-handling skills.
- Ability to manage operators and achieve shift production targets.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in shifts.
