Education: BE (Mechanical / Welding / metallurgy / Production / Industrial engineering)

Requirements
Certified AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1
ASNT Level II/III in NDT techniques.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain welding procedures and specifications in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
Oversee and optimize welding processes, including SAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, and other specialized techniques e.g. Panel Line welding stations (TTS Make).
Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure weld integrity and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to provide input on weldability of materials and design considerations.




To coordinate with TPI / Class / Owners representative for workmen qualification and certification for specific project requirements.
Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices, recent techniques, and safety protocols.
Evaluate and implement current welding technologies and equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues during construction and repair projects. Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions.
Troubleshoot and resolve the welding machines / equipment related issues. Maintain the welding machines which are kept as spare for future requirements.
Maintain thorough documentation of welding procedures, qualifications, and inspections.
