Role Summary

Intonation Research Labs Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to support procurement operations for our CRO & CDMO business. The ideal candidate should have experience in purchasing pharmaceutical raw materials, chemicals, laboratory consumables, engineering spares, and related services while ensuring timely procurement, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day procurement of raw materials, chemicals, solvents, APIs, laboratory consumables, engineering spares, and services.
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and process purchase orders.
- Coordinate with approved vendors for timely procurement and deliveries.
- Support vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding activities.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules within defined limits.
- Coordinate with R&D;, QA, QC, Production, Stores, Finance, and Regulatory teams to meet procurement requirements.
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor documentation, and purchase-related reports.




- Ensure procurement activities comply with GMP, GLP, ISO, EHS, and internal quality standards.
- Support inventory planning by coordinating with stores to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Assist with import procurement documentation and coordination with freight forwarders/CHAs, if applicable.
- Update ERP/SAP systems with purchase transactions and vendor information.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of procurement experience in CRO, CDMO, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Life Sciences industries.
- Experience in procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials, chemicals, APIs, or laboratory consumables is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP or similar procurement systems.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory planning.
