Position: Lab Assistant – Physiotherapy Lab

Job Summary The Lab Assistant will be responsible for supporting the smooth and productive functioning of the Physiotherapy Laboratory. The role involves preparing laboratory equipment and materials, assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, maintaining equipment and inventory, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting day-to-day laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare physiotherapy laboratory equipment, instruments, models, and materials before practical classes and demonstrations.
- Assist faculty members during practical sessions, demonstrations, examinations, and other laboratory activities.
- Ensure all physiotherapy equipment and instruments are properly arranged, functional, and readily available for use.
- Maintain and operate basic physiotherapy equipment under the guidance of faculty/lab in-charge.
- Support students in the proper handling and use of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization.
- Maintain records of laboratory equipment, consumables, stock, and issue/return of instruments.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the Lab In-charge about shortages, damaged items, or equipment requiring repair/replacement.
- Assist in routine inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure proper storage and safe handling of equipment, instruments, and consumable materials.




- Follow institutional laboratory safety procedures and assist in maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Support practical examinations, workshops, seminars, demonstrations, and departmental activities.
- Maintain laboratory registers, logbooks, equipment records, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with faculty, students, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel regarding laboratory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety standards, and departmental procedures.
- Perform any other laboratory-related duties assigned by the Lab In-charge/HOD.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (DPT/BPT) or a relevant allied health/medical field.
- Candidates with relevant laboratory or physiotherapy practical experience will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of physiotherapy equipment, instruments, and laboratory procedures.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining records and inventory.

Experience Preferred: 1–3 years of relevant experience in a Physiotherapy/Medical/Allied Health laboratory or educational institution.

Freshers: May be considered based on qualifications and practical knowledge.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
