Role & responsibilities

Patient Counselling

- Counsel patients after doctor's consultation.
- Explain doctor-recommended investigations, procedures and services in simple language.
- Understand patients' doubts, concerns and financial hesitation.
- Explain the process, costs, scheduling and follow-up requirements.
- Help patients make informed decisions.
- Refer clinical questions and treatment decisions back to the doctor whenever required.

P-Shot & Procedure Counselling
- Counsel patients for P-Shot and other doctor-recommended procedures.
- Explain why the procedure has been suggested.
- Explain the procedure, preparation, expected benefits, limitations, cost and follow-up.
- Address common doubts and concerns.
- Avoid exaggerated claims or guarantees regarding treatment outcomes.
- Coordinate scheduling and billing for patients who decide to proceed.

Hormonal & Diagnostic Investigations
- Counsel patients regarding doctor-recommended hormonal and laboratory investigations.
- Explain why the investigations have been advised.
- Explain the importance of completing appropriate investigations before/during treatment.
- Explain testing process, packages and costs.
- Handle cost-related objections professionally.
- Coordinate testing/sample collection and reports with relevant staff.

Conversion & Follow-Up
- Convert interested and eligible patients into completed investigations/procedures.
- Maintain records of patients counselled.
- Record accepted, declined and undecided cases.
- Systematically follow up with patients who need time to decide.
- Coordinate with doctors, front office, billing and laboratory staff.
- Maintain counselling and conversion reports.

Educational Qualification

Minimum: Any Graduate

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following backgrounds will be preferred:

- B.Sc Life Sciences
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM
- Allied Health Sciences
- BPT
- Psychology
- BBA / B.Com
- Hospital / Healthcare Management
- Any graduate with relevant healthcare counselling or sales experience

Medical or nursing qualification is NOT mandatory. Candidates with excellent communication and healthcare counselling/conversion experience are encouraged to apply irrespective of their graduation stream.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:

- IVF / Fertility Counselling
- Hospital Patient Counselling
- Treatment Coordination
- Dental Treatment Counselling
- Diagnostic Centres / Laboratory Packages
- Cosmetic / Aesthetic Clinics
- Patient Relationship Management
- Healthcare Sales
- Healthcare Packages / Procedures

Candidates from non-healthcare backgrounds with exceptional counselling, communication and sales/conversion skillsmay also be considered.

Essential Skills

- Excellent one-to-one communication

- Ability to understand and handle patient objections
- Comfortable discussing treatment costs




- Comfortable discussing sexual-health and andrology-related subjects professionally
- Good follow-up and closing skills
- Mature, patient and professional behaviour
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Basic computer/Excel/CRM/WhatsApp skills
- Ability to learn basic medical concepts through training

Languages

Telugu: Strong communication preferred

English: Good communication required

Hindi: Additional advantage

Performance Evaluation

Performance will be assessed based on:

- Number of doctor-referred/eligible patients counselled
- Quality and accuracy of counselling
- Conversion into completed investigations/procedures
- Follow-up conversion
- Patient feedback and satisfaction
- Proper maintenance of counselling records
- Coordination with hospital departments
- Qualified and ethical conduct

Important The counsellor will not diagnose, prescribe medicines, interpret laboratory results or independently recommend medical procedures. Clinical recommendations and treatment decisions remain with the treating doctor.

The counsellor's responsibility is to explain doctor-recommended services accurately, answer non-clinical questions, address concerns and facilitate patients who wish to proceed

Compensation

20,000 30,000 per month + Performance Incentives

Final salary will depend on experience, communication ability and demonstrated counselling/conversion skills.

Candidates with strong previous experience in IVF, fertility, dental, aesthetic or other healthcare counselling may be offered a higher package.

Immediate / Early joiners preferred.
