– OT Technician (Gynaecology)

Position: OT Technician – Gynaecology

Department: Operation Theatre (OT)

Job Summary The OT Technician will be responsible for assisting doctors, surgeons, and nursing staff during gynaecological procedures and ensuring that the operation theatre is properly prepared, sterile, safe, and equipped before, during, and after every procedure.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the OT before scheduled gynaecological procedures.
- Check and arrange all required surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and medicines.
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection-control practices.
- Assist the surgeon and nursing team during gynaecological surgeries and procedures.
- Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and storage of instruments.
- Follow hospital protocols for patient safety,



surgical safety, and infection prevention.
- Maintain OT registers, checklists, sterilization records, and procedure-related documentation.
- Dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital guidelines.

Qualification
- Diploma / Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology
- Preference to candidates with experience in an eye hospital

Experience
- 1 – 4 years of experience as an OT Technician
