Role Responsibilities

The role will have the following responsibilities:

- Utilize AKS, GKE, and OpenShift for managed Kubernetes services deployments

- Manage and maintain container runtimes such as Docker and containerd

- Implement and manage container orchestration strategies using Kubernetes

- Configure and manage Kubernetes networking components including CNI plugins, ingress controllers, and service meshes (e.g., Istio)

- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Helm and Terraform

- Automate Kubernetes deployments and configurations to ensure scalability and reliability

- Design and implement Kubernetes solutions including pods, services, deployments, and stateful sets

- Set up comprehensive Observability/monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters

- Implement Kubernetes security best practices including RBAC, network policies, and pod security policies

- Continuously review and enhance the security posture of Kubernetes clusters

- Provide Linux/Unix system administration expertise to support the Kubernetes workplace

- Manage system-level tasks and configurations essential for the underlying infrastructure
