Manager - Mechanical Package Engineer
Experience: 10-20 Years
Location: Pune
Qualification: B. E. Mechanical Engineering
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Engineer with expertise in Water & Wastewater Treatment Projects, Mechanical Equipment Engineering, Project Execution, and Vendor Management. The candidate should have hands-on experience in design, procurement engineering, technical evaluations, client coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Review PFDs, P&IDs;, plant layouts, equipment datasheets, BOQs, and RFQs.
- Perform pump head calculations, blower sizing, line sizing, and equipment selection.
- Develop technical specifications and evaluate vendor offers, TBEs, and technical clearances.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Review mechanical GA drawings, piping layouts, fabrication drawings, and skid designs.
- Support FAT/SAT, manufacturing clearance
- Handle rotary and static equipment including pumps, blowers, agitators, conveyors, screens, valves, and treatment plant systems.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Required Skills
- Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants (Water Recovery systems, WTP, CETP, WWTP, Desalination)
- Mechanical Equipment Design & Engineering
- PFD, P&ID;, Plant Layouts, Pump & Blower Calculations, Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE)
- RFQ, BOQ & Datasheet Preparation, Vendor Management & Client Coordination
Preferred Industry: Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, EPC/EPCM, Process Industries, Desalination Plants.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 12-16 years of experience in Mechanical Design and Project Engineering.
- Solid experience with rotary and static equipment.
- Exposure to complete project lifecycle from design through commissioning.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently handle engineering deliverables and project execution activities.
