About the Role

We're hiring a Laravel Developer to take ownership of core backend modules across our products — think architecture decisions, performance at scale, and mentoring the rest of the team, not just ticket delivery. You'll work on systems handling real production load (lakhs to millions of records) across our fintech, legal-tech, and compliance platforms, and you'll be expected to use AI coding tools to move fast while still owning the quality bar for everything that ships.

Projects You'll Work On

- CRM platforms — multi-tenant SaaS CRMs serving business clients, including workflow automation and role-based access.

- ERP systems — backend modules for enterprise resource planning, covering inventory, billing, and reporting workflows.

- Large-scale E-commerce platforms — high-traffic web and backend systems handling large product catalogs, orders, and payment flows at scale.

- Backend & API development — designing and building REST APIs and backend services that power multiple frontend and third-party consumers.

What You'll Do

- Design and build scalable REST APIs and backend modules in Laravel, owning architecture decisions for your area.

- Write, review, and optimize complex MySQL queries against large tables; diagnose and fix slow queries using EXPLAIN.

- Design database schemas with an eye on long-term scale — partitioning, indexing strategy, and normalization trade-offs.

- Architect and integrate third-party APIs, including handling auth, retries, and failure modes gracefully.

- Build and monitor background jobs, queues, and scheduled tasks using Redis and Laravel Horizon.

- Lead production debugging — read logs/APM traces, isolate root cause, ship fixes under pressure.





- Drive code review culture — set the bar for PRs, catch design issues early, mentor mid-level and junior developers.

- Make pragmatic calls on caching, read/write splitting, and horizontal scaling as products grow.

Must-Have Skills

- 3+ years hands-on Laravel (9/10/11) with deep PHP 8.x and strong OOP fundamentals (SOLID, DI, service container, service/repository patterns).

- MySQL at scale — schema design, composite indexing, all join types, aggregation, query optimization via EXPLAIN, and comfort with tables in the lakhs-to-millions row range.

- Strong track record designing and shipping REST APIs and third-party integrations in production.

- Redis, Laravel Queues/Jobs/Scheduler, and ideally Horizon for queue monitoring.

- Solid Git-based workflow (GitLab/GitHub) with real code-review ownership — not just following review comments, but driving standards.

- Testing discipline — PHPUnit or Pest, writes tests as a default, not an afterthought.

- Hands-on with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar) — uses them to move faster while reviewing and owning every line that ships.

- Comfortable mentoring less experienced developers and giving direct, constructive feedback in reviews.

Valuable to Have

- Fintech, lending, NBFC, or collections domain experience.

- SaaS / multi-tenant application experience (tenant isolation, subscription or plan-based access, host-based tenant resolution).

- Linux server administration; deployment on AWS or DigitalOcean.

- Experience with DB replication, read/write splitting, and horizontal scaling in production.

- Exposure to APM tooling (New Relic, Sentry, or similar) for production observability.
