- Dispense medicines to patients as per valid prescriptions and hospital policies.
- Verify prescriptions for correct drug, dose, route, frequency, duration and patient details before dispensing.
- Maintain proper storage of medicines, including temperature-sensitive, high-alert and look-alike/sound-alike medicines.
- Monitor expiry dates, stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation using FEFO (First Expiry, First Out).
- Maintain accurate records of medicine receipt, issue, stock, returns, expiry and disposal.
- Ensure secure handling and dispensing of narcotic/controlled and other regulated medicines as per applicable requirements.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding correct medicine use, dosage, precautions and storage wherever required.
- Identify and promptly report medication errors,
adverse drug reactions and other medication-related incidents.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related queries and patient safety.
- Follow infection prevention, biomedical waste management, fire safety and occupational safety practices.
- Participate in medication audits, quality improvement activities, training and competency assessments as required by the hospital.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with hospital policies, applicable laws and NABH requirements.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
