Key Responsibilities

- Head and implement instrumentation strategies aligned with plant goals

- Mentor and manage a team of engineers and technicians

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Projects, Quality, and EHS

- Select, configure, and maintain well-known DCS systems

- Ensure stability, upgrade, and integration of DCS with plant operations

- Handle advanced field instrumentation including smart transmitters, analyzers, and control valves

- Perform calibration, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance of instruments

- Integrate systems like IMCCs, PLCs, SCADA with DCS

- Manage communication protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP

- Implement and maintain Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) with SIL compliance





- Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, PSSR and other process safety studies

- Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ATEX, IEC, ISA)

- Lead instrumentation scope in capital and expansion projects

- Coordinate with EPCs and OEMs for system specification, procurement, and commissioning

- Control maintenance budgets and optimize spare parts inventory

- Demonstrate solid knowledge of industrial instrumentation and automation systems

Requirements

- BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering

- 15-20 years experience in Chemical / Petrochemical plant

- Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS & field instrumentation

- SAP experience preferred

- Fluent in English
