Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and manage the complete Human Resources function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, performance management, employee engagement, HR policies, and workforce planning.

The HR Manager will work closely with management and department heads to ensure effective manpower planning, smooth HR operations, employee development, and compliance with applicable labour laws.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding.
- Understand manpower requirements and coordinate with department heads.
- Develop effective recruitment strategies to reduce hiring turnaround time.
- Conduct interviews and coordinate selection and offer processes.
- Maintain an active talent pipeline for critical positions.
- Ensure timely fulfilment of manpower requirements.

1. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

- Manage employee onboarding, documentation, confirmation, transfers, promotions and exits.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure proper implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage attendance, leave, employee records and HR-related documentation.
- Coordinate with payroll for monthly salary processing and resolve employee queries.

1. Payroll & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in coordination with the payroll team.
- Monitor PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and company policies.
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors and government authorities whenever required.
- Maintain proper statutory records and documentation.

Performance Management

- Develop and implement effective performance management systems.
- Coordinate goal setting, KRAs, appraisals and performance reviews.
- Support managers in handling performance-related issues.
- Identify training and development requirements based on performance gaps.

1. Employee Relations

- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Promote a positive and professional workplace environment.
- Handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Support management in employee retention and conflict resolution.
- Conduct employee feedback and engagement initiatives.

1. Learning & Development

- Identify training needs across departments.
- Coordinate internal and external training programs.
- Develop employee development initiatives.
- Track training effectiveness and maintain training records.

1. HR Policies & Process Improvement

- Develop, review and implement HR policies and SOPs.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR processes across departments.
- Identify opportunities for HR automation and process improvement.
- Maintain HR MIS and provide regular reports to management.

1. Employee Engagement & Retention

- Plan and execute employee engagement activities.
- Monitor employee satisfaction and retention.
- Analyse attrition trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop initiatives to improve employee morale and workplace culture.

HR MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare monthly HR reports and dashboards.
- Track headcount, recruitment, attrition, absenteeism, payroll and compliance.
- Provide management with HR analytics and actionable insights.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- 100% manpower fulfilment within agreed timelines.
- Reduction in recruitment turnaround time.
- 100% timely onboarding and documentation.
- Payroll accuracy and timely salary processing.
- 100% monthly statutory compliance.
- Reduction in employee attrition.
- Timely completion of performance appraisals.
- Minimum one employee training initiative per month.
- Regular employee engagement initiatives.
- Timely resolution of employee grievances.

Experience:

- 512 years of progressive HR experience.
- Prior experience in an HR Manager / HR Generalist leadership role preferred.
- Experience managing recruitment, payroll coordination, compliance and employee relations.
