About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Head – Accounts to manage the organisation's end-to-end accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, reporting and accounting operations. The role will ensure accuracy of books of accounts, timely closures, compliance with applicable laws and effective management of the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Maintain books of accounts as per applicable accounting standards and laws.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closures.
- Prepare and review MIS, P&L;, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements.
- Conduct account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
- Review receivables, payables and outstanding balances.
- Monitor accounting entries and ensure proper documentation and supporting records.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS and Income Tax requirements.
- Review GST returns, reconciliations and related documentation.
- Handle TDS returns, payments and related compliance.
- Coordinate for Income Tax assessments and related requirements.
- Ensure timely statutory filings under the Companies Act and other applicable regulations.
- Liaise with statutory auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.

3. Audit & Compliance

- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.
- Provide required documents, schedules and information for audits.
- Resolve audit observations and ensure timely closure.




- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Strengthen accounting controls and ensure adherence to SOPs.

4. Manufacturing Accounting & Costing

- Maintain and review manufacturing-related accounting records.
- Review product costing, BOM and cost sheets.
- Monitor inventory valuation, WIP and scrap accounting.
- Review manufacturing variances and overhead accounting.
- Support accurate accounting of production-related expenses.

5. Banking & Accounts Operations

- Oversee day-to-day banking and accounting operations.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and ensure timely updating of transactions.
- Review payment processing and vendor-related accounting.
- Monitor receivables and payables and ensure timely reconciliation.
- Coordinate with banks and external parties for routine accounting requirements.

6. Team Management

- Lead, mentor and manage the Accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor task completion.
- Review team outputs for accuracy, compliance and timelines.
- Ensure proper coordination and documentation within the Accounts function.
- Train and develop team members for improved accounting efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax compliance.




- Experience in statutory and internal audit coordination.
- Strong understanding of inventory and manufacturing accounting.
- ERP/accounting software proficiency.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work effectively under pressure.
