ABOUT NEXRISE

Nexrise India Infra Pvt. Ltd. is a growing manufacturer and solution provider in the height-access equipment industry. We manufacture, sell and rent aluminium mobile access towers, scaffolding systems, aluminium and FRP ladders, and customised access solutions.

With our manufacturing facility in Mumbai and operations across multiple locations in India, we are strengthening our leadership team to support the company’s next phase of growth.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a highly driven, commercially sharp and hands-on General Manager – Business Operations & Procurement who can work closely with the Director and take ownership of organisation-wide execution.

This is not a desk-based coordination role.

The selected person will oversee procurement, vendor negotiations, factory coordination, production planning, inventory, logistics and cross-departmental execution. The person will ensure that management decisions are converted into clearly assigned responsibilities, timelines and measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable negotiating with a major supplier, reviewing production on the factory floor, questioning operational costs, conducting departmental reviews and resolving urgent execution bottlenecks.

This position is intended to develop into a COO-level role based on performance, leadership capability and organisational impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement and Vendor Management

- Take ownership of end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, machinery and services
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and alternate suppliers
- Lead commercial negotiations covering prices, credit periods, delivery schedules, quality conditions and payment terms
- Review quotations, comparative statements and purchase recommendations
- Monitor purchase costs and identify measurable cost-saving opportunities
- Prevent emergency purchases through systematic material and production planning
- Strengthen vendor relationships while maintaining commercial discipline
- Track purchase orders, committed delivery dates and vendor performance

Factory and Production Operations
- Coordinate production planning against confirmed sales and rental requirements
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and production inputs
- Monitor production schedules, productivity, wastage, rejection, rework and manufacturing costs
- Coordinate between procurement, production, quality control, maintenance, inventory and dispatch teams
- Conduct regular factory-floor reviews and resolve operational bottlenecks
- Improve production reporting,

- Ensure adherence to quality, safety and operational standards
- Support capacity planning, process improvement and factory expansion initiatives

Inventory, Warehousing and Logistics
- Ensure accurate inventory planning and control across factories and warehouses
- Monitor raw material, work-in-progress and finished-goods inventory
- Improve inventory accuracy and reduce avoidable or non-moving stock
- Coordinate dispatch planning, transportation and order fulfilment
- Track delayed orders and take corrective action before customer commitments are affected
- Establish controls for material movement, stock transfers and physical verification

Cross-Departmental Management
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Rental, Production, Procurement, Inventory, Logistics, Accounts, HR, Administration and IT/ERP teams
- Conduct structured daily, weekly and monthly operational reviews
- Establish clear ownership, deadlines and measurable KPIs for departments
- Follow up on management decisions until complete closure
- Identify delays, interdepartmental gaps and recurring execution failures
- Hold managers accountable while supporting them in resolving genuine operational challenges
- Establish effective SOPs, dashboards, review systems and escalation mechanisms

Director’s Office and Organisational Execution
- Work directly with the Director on business priorities and critical initiatives
- Convert management decisions into structured action plans
- Maintain visibility over company-wide commitments, pending matters and deadlines
- Present concise, factual and data-backed management reports
- Escalate critical commercial or operational risks at the right time
- Represent the Director in authorised internal operational meetings
- Handle sensitive commercial and organisational information with complete confidentiality
- Reduce the Director’s involvement in routine follow-ups by building a reliable execution system

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 12–18 years of relevant professional experience
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple operational functions
- Proven experience in manufacturing, procurement, supply chain or factory operations
- Demonstrated responsibility for vendor negotiations and commercial purchasing
- Experience managing managers, supervisors, vendors and cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory, logistics and operational costing
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, MIS reporting and advanced Excel
- Experience in a growing,



promoter-led manufacturing organisation will be strongly preferred

PREFERRED INDUSTRY BACKGROUND Candidates from the following industries will be preferred:
- Aluminium or metal fabrication
- Scaffolding, ladders or access equipment
- Engineering products
- Industrial equipment
- Automotive components
- Machinery or capital equipment
- Construction equipment
- Project-based manufacturing

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or a related engineering discipline preferred
- MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain will be an advantage
- Exceptional candidates with strong hands-on experience may be considered irrespective of formal specialisation

- Operational reporting and accountability
- Reduction in routine matters requiring Director-level intervention

We are looking for a hands-on operating leader—not someone seeking a purely strategic, advisory or office-based position.
