The Flexo Printing Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring flexographic printing machines used for printing on plastic films/poly materials, ensuring consistent print quality, productive production, minimum wastage and safe machine operation.

1. Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Operate flexographic printing machines efficiently as per production plan and approved job specifications.

- Set up the machine for different printing jobs, including printing plates, cylinders, anilox rolls, doctor blades, inks and substrate rolls.

- Carry out proper plate mounting, registration setting and impression adjustment.

- Set and maintain machine parameters such as printing speed, tension, pressure, drying temperature and registration.

- Prepare and maintain inks as per required shade, viscosity and print specifications.

- Ensure accurate colour matching and colour consistency throughout the production run.

- Check printed material continuously for registration, shade, clarity, adhesion, streaks, smudging, pinholes and other printing defects.

- Make necessary adjustments during production to maintain required print quality.

- Handle and load/unload poly film rolls safely and correctly.

- Minimize material, ink and solvent wastage through proper machine settings and process control.

- Monitor machine performance and minimize unnecessary downtime.

- Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication and basic preventive maintenance of the printing machine.

- Identify abnormal machine conditions and immediately report breakdowns or technical issues to the supervisor/maintenance team.





- Maintain proper records of production quantity, machine speed, wastage, ink consumption, downtime and job details.

- Ensure proper job changeover and cleaning between different printing jobs.

- Follow approved samples, artwork, colour standards and customer-specific requirements.

- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, Pre-Press and Maintenance teams for smooth production.

- Maintain proper housekeeping around the machine and printing area.

- Follow all company policies relating to quality, safety, PPE, fire safety and handling of inks/solvents.

- Ensure that the machine is operated only within approved operating parameters.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and reduce wastage.

1. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The operator will be evaluated primarily on:

- Print Quality – colour accuracy, registration and defect-free printing.

- Production Output – achieving planned production targets.

- Machine Efficiency – maintaining optimum machine speed and reducing downtime.

- Material Wastage – minimizing film, ink and solvent wastage.

- Job Changeover Time – efficient setup and changeover between jobs.





- Rejection Rate – maintaining minimum rejected/defective material.

- Ink Consumption – effective control of ink usage.

- Machine Care – proper cleaning, maintenance and handling of equipment.

- Safety Compliance – strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.

- Documentation – accurate production and wastage records.

1. Required Skills & Competencies

- Practical knowledge of flexographic printing technology.

- Experience in printing on LDPE, HDPE, BOPP, PET or other plastic films will be preferred.

- Knowledge of printing plates, anilox rolls, inks, solvents and doctor blade systems.

- Ability to understand and control colour matching and registration.

- Ability to identify and troubleshoot common printing defects.

- Basic mechanical understanding of printing equipment.

- Good attention to detail and quality consciousness.

- Ability to work under production targets and deadlines.

- Good teamwork and communication skills.

- Ability to work in rotational shifts.

- Strong focus on safety and discipline.

1. Qualification & Experience

Preferred Qualification:

- ITI / Diploma / 12th Pass.

- Printing Technology, Mechanical or related technical qualification will be an advantage.

Experience:

- 1–3 years of experience in flexographic printing.

- Experience specifically in poly/plastic film printing will be preferred.

- Experienced operators capable of independently setting and running the machine will be given preference.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
