Role & responsibilities

- Working closely with suppliers in order to ensure cargo is ready and booked on time according to our requirements.

- Follow up on cargo-ready status and inspection dates.

- Book containers/LCL/air shipments and resolve any issues with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines.

- Keep SAP updated with ETD, ETA, container status, etc.

- Prepare monthly carrier forecast and send it to our carriers on a monthly basis.

- Request freight quotations to forwarders and update record.

- Stagger the number of containers shipped per supplier and follow up to make sure factories follow the shipping plan.

- DI order follow-up, report updating, document saving, and ensure PO is closed in SAP.

- Documents request and verification (ISF, CI, PL, BOL, and AWB).

- Submit documents (ISF, CI, PL, BOL, and AWB) to customs brokers and warehouses.

- Send EDI 943 to warehouses.

- Update related smartsheet information (Photoshoot samples, DI, etc.)

- Update Shipping delays and reasons for delays in SAP.

- Update Supplier scorecard on a monthly basis.

- Approve freight invoices.





- Assist with other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

- Working hours from 12.00 pm to 9.00 pm IST.

- Minimum 3-4 years of industry experience.

- Good knowledge of shipping terms and documents (e.g. ISF, packing list, commercial invoice, bill of lading, incoterms, HS codes, etc.)

- Excellent written and spoken English.

- Attention to details.

- Robust organizational, prioritize, time management and follow-up skills.

- Good computer skills (Outlook, MS Excel, Internet, etc.).

- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field of study.

- Proactive attitude with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of international ports and geography.

- Team player.

- Communicates ideas clearly and concisely.

- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

- Experience in SAP is an asset.
