- Carry out routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical installations.
B.
Preventive
Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance as per the approved schedule.
- Inspect electrical panels for overheating, loose connections, abnormal noise, or other potential failures.
- Check earthing systems and electrical safety devices periodically.
- Record equipment readings and identify abnormal conditions.
- Report equipment requiring major repair or replacement to the supervisor.
- Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed within the scheduled timeline.
C. Breakdown &
- Complaint Management
- Respond immediately to emergency electrical breakdowns.
- Diagnose the root cause of electrical faults and restore supply safely.
- Attend electrical complaints received through the maintenance complaint system/helpdesk.
- Update complaint status as Received, In Progress, Pending, or Completed.
- Escalate major faults and recurring issues to the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer.
- Maintain records of breakdowns and corrective actions taken.
D.
Electrical
Systems &
- Equipment The technician shall assist in the operation and maintenance of systems including:
- LT Panels and Distribution Boards
- Transformers
- DG Sets
- UPS and Inverter Systems
- Motors and Pumps
- Lighting Systems
- Street and Outdoor Lighting
- Electrical Cabling
- Earthing Systems
- Changeover Panels
- Capacitor/APFC Panels
- Electrical systems associated with HVAC and other utilities
E. Safety &
- Compliance
- Follow electrical safety procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
- Use appropriate PPE while carrying out electrical work.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures wherever applicable.
- Ensure electrical isolation before undertaking maintenance work.
- Never bypass safety devices or protective systems without authorization.
- Maintain safe working conditions around electrical panels and equipment.
- Immediately report electrical hazards, short circuits, overheating, sparks, or fire risks.
- Support electrical safety inspections and audits.
F.
Energy
Conservation
- Identify unnecessary electrical consumption and report opportunities for energy saving.
- Monitor abnormal electrical loads wherever assigned.
- Support energy-efficiency initiatives such as LED lighting, occupancy sensors, automated lighting, and energy monitoring systems.
- Report equipment operating inefficiently or consuming abnormal power.
G. Documentation &
- Reporting
- Maintain daily electrical maintenance and complaint records.
- Update preventive maintenance checklists.
- Record breakdown details, action taken, materials used, and completion time.
- Maintain meter readings and equipment logs as assigned.
- Report pending works and material requirements to the supervisor.
- Provide completion evidence/photos wherever required through the maintenance management system.
1. Emergency Responsibilities
- Be available for emergency electrical breakdowns as per duty/shift requirements.
- Respond immediately to power failures and critical electrical incidents.
- Assist in restoring power supply during emergencies.
- Coordinate with the Electrical Supervisor, Engineering Team, DG Operator, and other maintenance teams during major failures.
- Follow emergency response and electrical fire safety procedures.
1. Tools &
- Material Responsibility
- Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, PPE, and equipment in good condition.
- Ensure proper utilization of electrical consumables and spare parts.
- Return unused materials to the designated store.
- Immediately report damaged or unsafe tools.
- Avoid wastage and unauthorized use of materials.
- Attend electrical complaints and breakdowns promptly.
- Troubleshoot faults in electrical circuits, equipment, and distribution systems.
- Maintain lighting systems, switches, sockets, fans, pumps, motors, and other electrical equipment.
- Inspect and maintain electrical panels, DBs, MCCs, cables, and associated systems.
- Replace defective electrical components after obtaining required approval.
- Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
Job Type: Full time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
