Position: CMM Operator

Department: Quality / Metrology

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for dimensional inspection.
- Set up components, fixtures, probes, and workpieces correctly.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and CAD models.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Run/edit CMM programs and analyze measurement results.
- Prepare and maintain CMM inspection reports and quality records.
- Perform probe calibration and basic CMM maintenance.
- Identify dimensional deviations and coordinate with Production/Quality teams for corrective action.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of GD&T;, datums, tolerances, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with CMM software such as ZEISS CALYPSO, PC-DMIS, or similar.
- Knowledge of Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, etc.
- Valuable attention to detail and measurement accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of calibration and metrology.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or related field.
- Typically 23+ years of CMM experience for experienced positions
