Roles and Responsibilities :
- Accurately enter patient charges into the hospital's charging system in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Verify demographic information, insurance coverage, and payment posting for each charge entry.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in charge entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Job Requirements :
- 2-15 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management (RCM), or related field.
- Solid understanding of US healthcare regulations and industry standards.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHRs) such as Epic Systems or similar platforms.
